The First Day of School!

Brian was SO lucky!

Every. Single. Friend. who I talked to asked me if I was going to pack his lunch, put a note in it with some stickers, buy him a "first day of school outfit," and take a picture by the door before he leaves.

He rolled his eyes after I repeated those conversations to him.

At least I got 1 out of 4 on that first day!

Here's to documenting the next 9 years of schooling through pictures (2 years post-bacc program, 4 years medical school, 3 years residency):

New Things "To Do" in Boston

We have the best superintendent in the world - friendly, helpful, classic Baaaahston accent.

And every time we see him - he tells us about three new places we need to check out in our new city! I'm going to create a "Things to Do in Boston" list soon, but here's what we have from Richard (The World's Best Superintendent) so far:

4. The Porches Inn (in the Berkshires)
5. Mass MoCA (in the Berkshires)
6. Gardner, MA furniture outlets

And in other news, most of the house is unpacked.  Just down to fixing up my offica and finding spaces for those odds and ends that usually end up stuffed under the bed.  I really want to make an "I-just-moved-resolution" to only keep what I NEED - and get rid of the rest.

So, here's to decluttering in Cambridge!

Boston!

We've arrived!

Packing.
Unpacking.
Loading.
Unloading.
Aching backs.
Sore legs.
Tired us.

But we're here! And we love it.

Going Away Party #3

The lovely ladies of World Vision's 29th Street office threw a DELICIOUS ice cream sundae party for me this week to say goodbye.

Thanks to the Toppings Committee for the selection of cherries, marshmallows, hot fudge, caramel, sprinkles, shredded coconut, M&Ms, huts, Boston Baked Beans and whipped cream!

It's amazing what these girls can do with no budget, some streamers and some tablecloths from Jack's to transform a humdrum conference room with fluorescent lights into party central!

After stuffing ourselves with ice cream, we walked up the street to have a drink and some tapas at Ayza.

Going Away Party #2

Last weekend, we had a great time in Central Park saying goodbye to so many of our wonderful friends from all different circles in New York City.

We had a picnic, played Frisbee, and enjoyed spending time with everyone before our move next week.

Thank you for five wonderful years of friendship, friends!

A shout out to our OWN Ollie

I keep forgetting to post this...from our trip in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine...

A shout out to our own little Ollie - Oliver Brian, we love you!

Going Away Party - #1

We had our first "goodbye to NYC and our friends" party last night - *sniff, sniff.*

It was at this swanky, ab fab rooftop bar at W. 63 Street and Columbus Avenue on top of the Empire Hotel. Great idea, Angelena!

It was so much fun - I forgot to take pictures! So here's where I would've posted pics of all of our wonderful friends who were there:

* Angelena

* Melissa

* Ella & Scott

* Jenn

* Anne

Love you guys!

On the way home, Brian and I stopped for a quick bite of salty hotdogs at Gray's Papaya on W. 72nd Street and Columbus.
