Manila
This past February, I traveled to Manila for work. Little did I know at the time that it would be my last international trip for awhile since we would be pregnant a few months later!
The trip started with delicious food and exploring with some friends who live in Manila - and ended up with a 36-hour stay in the hospital because of dehydration and food poisoning. Yuck. Needless to say, it was quite the two-week adventure!

Schnitzy the Kitty
As we start to get ready for welcoming Baby Bean this winter, I thought I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our first "fur baby," Schnitzel. She's a two-year-old tortoise shell cat.
And she's also known as Schnitz, The Schnitz, Schnitzy the Kitty, Schnizz, and just plain ol' Diva. Hey there, Schnitzel!

Visiting Missouri
Every year, we get together with some of Brian's college friends and their wives who have become my dear friends too. The first time we met, there were six of us. Seven years later, there are 11 with one more on the way! It's so special to share life together with these guys.
We usually rotate the visit at someone's home to help save on costs, and this year, we stayed with one of the families in Missouri. It was a great excuse for Brian to take me to the University of Missouri - Columbia where he studied journalism as an undergrad. I had never visited his school before, and it was fun to walk down memory lane together!
