Take 2: Better Than a Hallelujah

Apologies to those of you who tried to watch the broken link to the Amy Grant "Better Than a Hallelujah" video last week! (Thanks to Brea for the heads up!) EMI took it down for a few days but has reposted it again. I know it sounds cheesy, but I promise you, it's worth a listen!

Cystic Fibrosis and our friends

Dear, dear friends of ours have a young son who was recently born with Cystic Fibrosis. You can learn more about their journey here. They also recently found out about a cousin (by marriage) who also has CF. The 31-year-old youth pastor (read his story here) had a double lung transplant 6 months ago and is still trying to raise the $100,000 needed to cover the procedure and post-op medications. His story is below - spread the word!

I've been doing quite a bit of traveling this year with work, and this week, I'm in Seattle. Such a treat to have a car! I've been exploring the city and its neighborhoods and nature when I'm not working...Have seen Tacoma's 6th Avenue, Mount Rainier, Fremont's Sunday Market, Theo Chocolate, Columbia City Bakery, the Seattle Public Library, the Underground, plenty of Starbucks (of course), and more! Really great trip.

The other thing I love is having Christian radio stations to listen to in the car. Here are two songs that I can't get enough of lately!

This is a favorite quote from a friend of mine, and when I stumbled across it today, I had to share! What a wonderful example of the standards godly women like Ruth Bell Graham set for all of us as single women and as wives!

be strong enough to carry a little child.”

NatGeo's "Free Things to Do in Boston"

This will come as no surprise to anyone who's known me for more than 5 minutes. I love to travel -- and I love free things! Mourning the loss of our colleagues in Pakistan

We are mourning the loss of six of our colleagues at one of World Vision's offices in Pakistan today after gunmen stormed the office, killed them, and detonated a bomb. You can read more about this tragic news here.
